Quick check before I set this up. Filing a ticket is a write action, and scheduled runs are unattended — no one's there to click Approve. So I need to know which behavior you want:
- Autonomous — the scheduled run writes the ticket without an approval card.
- Gated — it drafts the ticket and waits for approval, which means it stalls every Monday until someone clicks through.
Which one?
hang on — if I schedule it, can it write something I'm not actually allowed to do myself?
Short answer: no. Scheduling changes who's watching, not who you are. There are two separate gates and they don't move together:
Approval consent — the card you'd normally click. "Autonomous" waives this, and only this.
Tool permission — whether your account is allowed to write there at all. That's enforced on every run and scheduling can't touch it.
A scheduled job runs as you, with your permissions. If you can't file that ticket by hand, the scheduled version can't either — it'll just fail the permission check. Autonomous only skips the click.
