Draft supplier reorders from the sales trend

Dash sizes each reorder from how fast the line is actually selling, checks it against what is already on order so nothing is double-ordered, and drafts one email per supplier. Every draft waits in the channel for a person to approve it before it goes anywhere.

@Dash draft the reorders for the short lines and hold them for approval.

Three suppliers, three drafts, all held.

  • Ardmore Botanicals · cedar balm 400, plus the two other balms in the same range
  • Fenwick Linens · sage tea towel 300, and a note asking whether the 22 Sep delivery can move
  • Halcyon Supply · four lines, standard quantities

The balm order includes the two lines that are not short yet. They come from the same supplier on the same carriage, they both run out inside six weeks, and ordering them separately means paying for delivery twice.

Fenwick is the one that needs a decision rather than an approval. Ordering 300 does not fix the nine day gap; only moving the existing delivery does. The draft asks about the date first and places the order second, which is the opposite of how the previous four went out.

Nothing sent. Approve individually or all three.

Did we already order the balm? I have a feeling someone did.

No order placed. There is a quote from Ardmore dated 21 August for 400 units that was never converted, which is probably what you are remembering. It is still open and the price on it holds until 12 September.

I have pointed the draft at that quote rather than starting a fresh order, so it stays a confirmation instead of a new negotiation.
