Post the morning revenue and pipeline brief

Every weekday morning Dash posts the numbers a founder would otherwise open five tools to see, and leads with the two or three that moved rather than repeating a dashboard nobody reads twice.

Friday 29 August. Three things moved. The rest is steady and listed below them.

1. Failed payments are at 14 for the month against a trailing average of 5. Eleven of the fourteen are cards that expired, not declines, so this is a dunning problem rather than a churn signal.
2. Two deals worth a combined mid five figures moved their close date out for the second time. Both are with the same reseller.
3. Cloud spend is tracking 22 percent above last month with no matching increase in usage.
Steady · new subscriptions in line with the four week average · pipeline created up slightly · support backlog flat · no incidents overnight

Each line links to the record it came from.

The cloud spend one. Where is it going?

One service accounts for almost all of it. Its spend has climbed every day since the 21st while its request volume has been flat, which usually means something is retrying rather than something is growing.

I can see the spend and the request counts. I cannot see the retry behaviour from here, so treat the retry explanation as the most likely cause and not a finding. The engineer who owns that service can confirm it in minutes.

Want me to put it in front of them with the daily figures attached?
