Parse resumes into the candidate record

Forty applications arrive as attachments. Dash reads each one, fills the candidate record with the details the team actually screens on, and flags the ones where the document did not support a field rather than guessing at it.

@Dash 40 applications came in for the support role. Can you get them into the tracker without me opening every PDF?

Read all 40. 36 parsed cleanly, 4 need a human.

Filled per candidate · years of relevant experience, current title, location and right to work if stated, tools named, notice period if stated, link to the source document

Against the screen criteria for this role:

  • 17 meet the stated experience floor
  • 11 name at least two of the tools in the job description
  • 8 meet both
The four I could not parse: two are scanned images with no selectable text, one is a portfolio site rather than a document, one is in a format the reader could not open. I have listed them rather than dropping them, because a bad file format is not a bad candidate.

Did you infer anything that was not written down?

No, and that is why the columns are patchy. Notice period is blank on 23 of 36 because most resumes do not state it. Right to work is blank on 31. I could have guessed both from location and I did not.

Every filled cell links to the line in the source document it came from, so a blank means the document was silent, not that I missed it.
